Botanical Name: Alocasia x Reginula

Flowering: Yes, produces lily-like flowers

Propagated by hand from the mother plant in our home garden by Kristen Page · Collector favorite · Limited small-batch release

What your order includes: 1 Regal Shield Alocasia pup.

Growing Tips for USDA Zone 9b: Plant in moist dirt in a container or in ground. (In-ground warning: plant produces small corms underground; may become invasive in the garden.) Plants establish quickly. Enjoys moist soil and mostly shade. Will sunburn.

About the mother plants: Mother plants enjoy a very large container, continuously moist soil, and indirect morning sunlight. Leaves do become sunburned if exposed to direct sunlight. Plants are kept outdoors all year.

Pruning Tips: Prune leaves when dry and crispy. Yellowing and wilting leaves are expected regardless of watering frequency. The plant will use nutrients from its oldest leaves.
